A Bit About Bibi

"Inman Quarter restaurant Delbar will open a sister establishment, Bibi, in Ponce City Market's Central Food Hall this summer. Owner Fares Kargar, originally from Gorgan, Iran, grew up cooking with his mother, aunts, and grandmother. The name Bibi is roughly translated to mean a strong female community leader, so this is an homage to Kargar's family. Kargar came to the United States to earn a degree in hospitality from Georgia State University and later go on to open his first restaurant Delbar."
